ABOUT TCS

WE LIVE IN AN EVER-CHANGING LANDSCAPE OF OPPORTUNITY FUELED BY TECHNOLOGY. IT’S HARD TO KEEP UP WITH THE EVENTS, THE LANGUAGE AND, MOST IMPORTANTLY, YOUR IDENTITY AS EVERYTHING CONTINUES TO SHIFT. ALTHOUGH IT MIGHT FEEL AS IF YOUR RELEVANCE IS DIMINISHING EACH TIME THE SCREEN REFRESHES, THE TRUTH IS THAT THE ROOTS OF WHO YOU ARE AND YOUR IMPORTANCE TO THE COMMUNITY DEEPEN WITH EVERY ACTION.

If you and/or your organization want a thriving future they must create a healthy, self-reliant local system of commerce in partnership with communities.

Community Elements At Work

WISDOM LEADERSHIP

Community leaders generate and operate the organizations that constitute the critical local ecosystem of livelyhood, the local system of capital recirculation that also acts to provision the local community for self-reliant living. TCS educates, guides and supports community wisdom leaders in mastering the community development rules of wealth, community and capital in the new economy to shift the community from being externally organized to export wealth to being self-organizing to generate wealth locally.

ENGAGEMENT SPACES

Although it can be difficult to measure the value of non-monetary wealth, it is not impossible. We can see and engage with these intangible elements of wealth whenever we enter our cornerstone community spaces: places of education, the corner store, and the spiritual centers, i.e., the mind, body and spirit of every community.

SHARED STORY OF FUTURE

We have the ability to reinvigorate opportunities in the community so that wealth is deepened and activated by financial, creative, cultural, historical and other capital forms that comprise the sustainable wealth picture. This, in turn, creates a language of opportunity, shared across generations. Until we have this shared language, the right questions cannot be asked and the most needed answers may never emerge. It is now time to return to these places, ask the questions, listen to the solutions already in play and use technology to amplify the opportunity to plant and keep wealth in the place it grows best, utilizing a model inclusive of all contributing resources, especially the people.

DRIVERS OF COMMUNITY SUCCESS

cOMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

Community engagement, whether online or offline, is central to growing a thriving community. The spaces folks meet are the platforms upon which community can be built (or rebuilt) lasting for many generations to come. By leveraging technology, the community can develop new pathways and platforms to share history, experience the present and co-create the future

COMPLEX LOCAL COMMERCE

The story of a thriving community is rooted in its complexity which can be discussed in its non-monetary capital forms as detailed in the Full Spectrum Capital table. Please note: this is not an exhaustive summary of capital forms, it is designed to illustrate the forms of capital which are most recognizable and are activated within our daily lives through our transactions with community members.
